Even if you’re already teaching older adults, the Fighting Falls Instructor Course provides specialised training grounded in exercise science and falls-prevention research. It bridges traditional Taekwondo instruction with the latest evidence on safe, effective exercise delivery for ageing populations.

Through this course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Modify traditional techniques (stances, kicks, blocks, drills) to suit different ability levels, balance limitations, and chronic health conditions.

  • Apply evidence-based testing methods (like the Senior Fitness Test battery) to track and demonstrate your participants’ progress in balance, strength, and mobility.

  • Understand age-related physiological changes and how to safely instruct around common conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease.

  • Integrate national health messaging and social connection strategies that improve retention and wellbeing in older adults.

  • Build partnerships with local health and community organisations, creating new referral and revenue opportunities for your club.

Ultimately, this course elevates your credibility as an instructor, helps you meet safety and accreditation standards, and allows you to deliver official Fighting Falls™ classes a recognised and evidence-based program supported by Sport Australia and Australian Taekwondo.

The Boxing CS3 Course expands your teaching toolkit with safe, practical boxing-for-fitness methods that complement your Taekwondo classes.

You’ll learn correct technique, pad-holding safety, and evidence-based programming suitable for beginners, older adults, and advanced students alike.

Adding boxing sessions to your school can significantly increase member engagement, provide fresh class options, and create new income opportunities, whether through community-based fitness sessions, small-group training, or integration with the Fighting Falls™ program.

It’s a proven way to grow your school’s reach, revenue, and community impact while keeping safety and professionalism at the core.

The course is approximately 1 day of work, with about 7.5 hours of video. It’s split into short modules to make it easy. Reading material is also available.

Absolutely, it’s self-paced; you can continue any time you want. Simply log back in. You have 12 months of access from when you pay.

The assessment consists of short quizzes after each module in both the Fighting Falls course and Boxing course.

There is a basic video assessment at the end of the Boxing course, where you upload footage of yourself demonstrating safe pad holding and boxing technqiues.

Once you pass, you can download the certificate of completion.
